Rivian Truck

A Rivian truck is a truck made by the Rivian Automotive llc automaker and automobile technology firm founded in 2009.

The company manufactures electric vehicle utilities and pickup trucks on a skate platform to support electric vehicles.

These trucks are also built as a partnership program with amazon.

The truck company began its delivery with the Rivian Truck pickups in 2021 while other models were being developed.

The company anticipates building an exclusive charging network in the US and Canada.

Rivian truck company is based in the state of California Irvine and has a huge manufacturing plant in Normal, Illinois as Palo alto, with plans to build another factory in Georgia.

Founded in 2019, Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon announced striking a deal with Rivian, for the electric van delivery company.

He intended to use these vehicles to achieve neutrality in carbon for decades.

Rivian R1T

The Rivian R1T is a futuristic electric truck model boosting excellent features including quick acceleration, electric motors, and 314 miles estimated range.

It is the first electric truck to get to the market from Rivian.

The 2022 Rivian R1T is a special model built for Adventure.

This is one of the adventure automobiles with optimum capability and functionality.

The truck’s EVs are capable of everything from smooth daily driving to gaming and off-roading.

The model comes in three battery ranges:

314-mile range, and up to 400+ mile range.

This model uses a quad motor to move from 0-60 miles per hour in three seconds.

Featuring a maximum towing capacity of 11,000 pounds, the R1T model comes with two-volt outlets and 120-volt outlets.

The truck features four electric engines, with two on each axle, rear, and the front.

The two front motors produce 415 horsepower and 413 lb torque, while the other two rear motors produce 495 lb torque and 420 horsepower.

Rivian R1T is offered in three battery sizes, 180 kWh, 135kWh, and 105 kW, with a projected range of two hundred and thirty miles with the smallest battery.

The truck can go up to three hundred and fourteen miles with the medium battery and four hundred with the biggest battery.

Moreover, for improved range, the Rivian R1T allows for the mounting of additional batteries if you need to have the range be improved.

The auxiliary or backup batteries can be charged by another R1T when there is no charging infrastructure.

The Rivian R1T is a game-changer that is, if its consumers respond well, could gain more potential fans and buyers to their market.

This is because the Rivian truck is building a new niche market in the truck vehicle class, the electric truck.

The model highlights R1T’s speed, off-road capabilities, and power, selling the truck as a capable and fun truck for great outdoor adventures.

Performance, EV motor, and power

This drive wheel is standard on R1T but uses a unique arrangement whereby electric motors power every R1T wheel. It boasts 835 horsepower, which makes it the fastest SUV truck available to date.

Payload and towing capacity

According to the manufacturer, the R1T can tow up to 11,000 lbs with a payload capacity of 1760 pounds.

Battery life, range, and charging is really superb for a electric truck.

The 2022 R1T model offers a 128.9 kWh large battery pack with an EPA-rated driving range of three hundred and fourteen miles on average depending on your driving habits and towing.

Pricing

The Rivian R1T offered a launch edition which was already sold out.

The left options were Adventure and explore models for options for current buyers.

The adventure option seems better as it adds many desirable features, which include ventilated and heated front seats, wood interior trim, and a meridian Stereo System, and a fancy upholstery look and feel.

While this truck has awesome features, it is not meant for everyone because of its high pricing that the average person can’t afford at this time, but hopefully this will reduce in cost as we buy more of these as consumers.

Rivian R1S

The Rivian R1S is a sport utility from the Rivian platform with over 91% of shared components with the R1T version.

This model has a cooling, braking, and suspension system with its battery in the center.

Being the second Rivian production model, RIS is among the three-row EVs, ideal for families wanting to go electric.

The model is almost similar to the Tesla Model X but features lower pricing and higher towing capacity.

It has most R1T features, including its 128.9 kWh battery pack, which EPA estimates to be good for three hundred sixteen miles per charge.

This quad powertrain gives 835 horsepower to give this model a considerable pep.

It features a standard adjustable air suspension to raise the R1S to 15 inches of ground clearance.

The available R1S model is the Adventure Model, which features a default configuration for the first model.

The model is packed with an all-wheel-drive quad motor set up alongside a 128.9-kWh battery pack.

Moreover, there are multiple tire choices and multiple tire and wheel options alongside other upgradeable features.

Performance, EV motor, and power

The R1S has a similar battery pack, powertrain, and most of its styling and other specs to the R1T.

The model is quick because of its mighty 835 horsepower.

Every R1S features an electric motor at every wheel, granting an all-wheel drive and impressive off-wheel capability.

All the car models have an adjustable air suspension that allows for air suspension at launch.

It feels more agile on the road for a SUV of this size so it gives you that secure feeling on the road.

Rivian interior

The Rivian R1T interior is conventional with an upfront, lightly finished ash wood dashboard, a fifteen-inch landscape-oriented display, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

It has HVAC vents underneath the center display on either side of the dashboard.

The two front bucket seats are split by a center console, while the three-across rear bench has a fold-down armrest with roll door access to the R1T’s gear tunnel.

Rivian Exterior

The Rivian can come with mulitple tire size options but we like the 275 65 R20 Scorpion Perrelli tires which really suit the R1S.

You also get a rear window on the hatch that will flip open and the cool part is the other part of the hatch can flip down like a tail gate and will support 500 lbs of weight.

The exterior for the R1S really looks awesome for those seeking for the SUV version of Rivian.

Conclusion

Rivian is a fantastic and futuristic looking pickup and SUV model.

Rivian’s electric motors have faster acceleration and three hundred and fourteen miles of estimated range depending on your driving style and towing limits.

Whether taking families on new adventures or electrifying the roads on the city streets or country side you will have a great time just touring around or camping on the go.

The Rivian vehicles have a common goal of preserving the natural world for generations to come and hopefully one day everyone will follow them in their fast pace EV powered race to the EV world.
