2025 Toyota Tacoma
Toyota has unveiled the pricing for the 2025 Toyota Tacoma, just in time for enthusiasts planning their next adventure.
Redesigned for 2024, the 2025 Toyota Tacoma model sees minimal updates but retains its robust capabilities.
The Limited trim now comes standard with adaptive dampers, while the TRD Pro and Trailhunter receive new red tow hooks and four prewired auxiliary switches for aftermarket accessories.
The starting price for the 2025 Toyota Tacoma is $33,085, marking a modest $90 increase over the previous model (including a $1,495 destination fee).
Configurations and Trims
Toyota offers a diverse range of Tacoma configurations to meet different needs.
The XtraCab, available on the SR and SR5 trims, features two seats and ample rear storage, paired with a 6-foot bed.
The TRD PreRunner exclusively uses this cab style. The crew cab, standard on most trims, can be equipped with either a 5-foot or 6-foot bed, depending on the trim level.
Powertrain Options
Under the hood, all 2025 Tacomas come with Toyota’s i-Force turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.
The SR trim produces 228 horsepower and 243 pounds-feet of torque, while higher trims boost output to 278 hp and 317 pounds-feet.
Models equipped with a six-speed manual transmission (SR, TRD Sport, and TRD Off-Road) generate slightly lower figures at 270 hp and 310 pounds-feet. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard across most trims.
Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard on the SR, SR5, and TRD Sport, with four-wheel drive (4WD) available for an additional $3,200.
Trims like the TRD Off-Road, Limited, Trailhunter, and TRD Pro come standard with 4WD.
Fuel economy for RWD models ranges from 21/26/23 mpg to 20/24/22 mpg (city/highway/combined), while 4WD gas models are rated between 19/24/21 mpg and 19/23/20 mpg. Official 2025 EPA ratings are pending.
For enhanced performance, the i-Force Max hybrid powertrain is available. It delivers 326 hp and 465 pounds-feet of torque (323 hp in the Trailhunter due to its snorkel intake).
Hybrid options start at $3,325 for the Limited, $3,720 for the TRD Sport, and $4,020 for the TRD Off-Road. The Trailhunter and TRD Pro come standard with this hybrid setup. Hybrid models are rated at 22/24/23 mpg.
